Rod encourages ETP Network members to share their networking experiences and questions through conference calls and urges members to become proficient with networking-oriented applications such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs and Facebook.
Author	Rod is currently working on his first book, *Win the Race for 21st Century Jobs: Put CEO Power Into Your Job Search and Your Career*, which discusses the need for networking and human relationships as a major part of any job search strategy.

Ruth Harenchar, Chief Networking Officer

A Fresh Approach to Personal Success	A veteran C-level executive, Ruth Harenchar brings the advantage and expertise of 30 years of business and non-profit board experience. She also brings her passions for excellence and building a better world through business and non-profit leadership. Ruth’s specialty is strategic thinking. “Ruth’s strategic acumen is not a skill that can be taught. It is a … a special perspective on the world at large. This perspective allows Ruth to see patterns where others simply see complexity. … Ruth … is able to see around the next corner.” Having received formal and on-the-job training from numerous and diverse success icons such as billionaire Ross Perot, quality guru Edward Deming, and leadership expert Peter Senge—Ruth provides transformative insights and inspires confidence.
A Genuine Passion for Helping Others	In the words of a partner, “Ruth transforms something strong into something superb. She does this while nurturing the human spirit of everyone involved.” Ruth helps and supports people in numerous ways, but her biggest passion is supporting persons with disabilities – most specifically via 20 years of service to Easter Seals having just completed two years as Chairman of Easter Seals New Jersey. She represented National Easter Seals in December 2008 at the United Nation’s first International Day for Persons with Disabilities. Recently she committed to an additional cause and joined the Board of Inwood House in NYC.

Applying the Power of Networking Technologies	An avid supporter of the ETP Network and Rod Colon personally, Ruth was also on the leading edge of new networking technologies through her board and Investor Relations Officer roles with Seamless NWS, Inc. – a start up venture for new networking tools. Now she is focused on modeling the Chief Networking Officer role for corporate America.
Awards, Honors, and Media Recognition	Ruth is a B.A. graduate of U of I-Chicago Campus and an M.P.H. graduate of Northwestern Univ. Medical School (NU). She was a faculty member of the NU Med School and co-authored scientific articles on cardiac epidemiology. As a leading Chief Information Officer (CIO), she has been quoted in CIO Decisions, InformationWeek, Optimize, NetworkWorld, InfoWorld, ComputerWeekly, and elsewhere on a variety of technology and leadership issues. She is an emeritus member of the InformationWeek Advisory Board. She served for 17 years on the NU College of Engineering Advisory Council (MAC) where she was the first woman Chairman. Out of over 18,000 women graduates, she was appointed to the NU President’s Council of 100 Executive Women. She is also currently an executive mentor in the Columbia Univ. School of Continuing Education. Ruth has been featured in 2 books – Secrets of 6 Figure Women & Mother Leads Best.

Carl E. Reid, Chief Operations Officer

A Fresh Approach to Personal Success	With corporate travels from the mail room to the board room, Carl E. Reid knows what it takes to be successful. Coming from humble beginnings Mr. Reid learned from his mother of Puerto Rican heritage and his father from Barbados, to keep the bar raised high in the honest values of work ethics to achieve success. Through survival skills learned growing up on the mean streets of the Edenwald projects, in the Bronx, Carl transferred his street smart savvy into the corporate arena. His first introduction to business success was achieved by obtaining his first managerial position at the age of 16.
A Genuine Passion for Helping Others	As a business career coach for over 18 years, Carl has also helped many people successfully advance their careers and start businesses. With his famous email tag line "Act Local - Think Global", Carl is also very passionate about being of service to the community at large.
