As it turns out I have good news to share.
Last week I joined the Meridian Group, a management consulting firm that develops engaged work forces. www.companyculture.com
I'm excited for several reasons:
** Meridian Group has a 30 year track record, working with companies large and small, building workplaces with strong relationships, high morale and motivation, better customer relationships, greatly improved productivity, efficiency, high levels of trust and employee retention.
** I worked with Barry , founder, when Michael and I lived in San Francisco so I know we work well together.
** I believe in this work!
So I re-focus from job search to business development and consulting. Now that I have a focus and direction and part of my identity back I feel better!
Thank you for all your support along the way! As you know it makes a world of a difference!
We'll stay in touch!
Take care,
Janice

Long first day today at the new job... but it was good...
"The ETP Network and its CEO Rod Colon, and COO Carl E. Reid are right on the money when it comes to how an organization and its people can help individuals manage their career.
The whole CEO or Me Inc. mindset teachings, sets them apart from anything else out there. The 7 step job search methodology is second to none and I have used it not only to land.. twice.. but also for business development. The 5 core goals are the pinnacle of achieving your best, in your career as in your life. I would highly recommend everyone to the ETP Network."

Rod, Carl, Tom, Scott, Ruth, Sam, Lou, Satnam, Dom, Katie, and everyone else in the ETP Family that I have forgotten (I so excited I know I am leaving people out - I apologize).
I am happy to announce that at 3:30 pm this afternoon I accepted a position as the Training Coordinator for a company called Allies, Inc. located in Hamilton, New Jersey (a ten-minute drive from my house & less than 20 by bike in the good weather). God answered my prayers from over 4 years when I asked him to find me a job where I can take the talents He blessed me with and benefit children and families (not just a company's bottom line). Allies, Inc. http://www.alliesnj.org/ , "...is an accredited nonprofit agency dedicated to providing housing, healthcare, meaningful employment and recreational opportunities to people with special needs in the communities of their choice..."
I want to thank everyone within the ETP Leadership and within the ETP family for praying for me, counseling me, crying with me and just being there for me in both my work-related and personal life.
Although I did not stick with the ETP 7 Steps 100% of the time (due to the other personal things going on in my life), the concepts about networking and being there for people, and treating your career search and career development are spot on and they do work. With this last position that I interviewed for, I had reached out to the contact prior to sending my resume in and established a brief though sincere relationship with the office contact.
I feel blessed by this opportunity and I want to share one thing that lead up to and happened on the first interview.
Is this from God? You decide.
One of the questions I asked during the interview was, "What do you like about working here?" This led to telling me why she wanted to interview me out of the 200 resumes she received. For one thing, she also lives here in Robbinsville. But more significant was the fact that I had worked in the container industry. OK? Recently, one of the co-founders of Allies, had a dream about shipping containers. She saw Allies taking old shipping containers and recycling them into housing from the materials. I had "good chills" when I heard this, and so did she.
To all the ETP members: Work the 7 Steps, believe in yourself and that you have something to offer people, not just looking for a paycheck.
I start on Jan 4th. Right after I start, Rod, let's go over the first 90 days and how I can add income to my family.
To everyone.
Happy, Blessed and Holy Christmas, Happy Hannukah, and a Joyous Holiday Season to you, and your Board of Directors.
Amen.

Thanks and God Bless,

I w
ould like to extend my appreciation to you, Carl, Rod; and, most importantly to Lou Piombino who was kind e
nough to refer me to Perry Systems. We, in transition, need the assistance of others. The job search advice, professionalism, networking and encouragement this past year has helped me remain focused and determined. Many thanks to you, your colleagues and those of us who do go the extra mile to assist others. All the best; and, yes, I do plan to keep networking alive and to pay it forward. I begin my new position as HR Director with Perry Systems Inc. tomorrow. See positions listed below as there is an immediate need! Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply!
